Keely turned 4 today. I have no idea where the time has gone! It feels like just yesterday that we were holding that little 5 pound baby in our arms and now she’s saying things like “I can’t get that freaking book out of my mind (her comment about a book with a cartoon picture of a skeleton that she really didn’t like)!”
Keely had her birthday party on Friday at Jump City, this really fun place with big bouncy toys that you can jump on, slide down, etc. The party got a little out of hand and there ended up being about 35 kids there and that doesn’t even include the parents and babies that came. Even Keely was like, “This party is a little too big mom.” She actually spent about 20 minutes locked in the food room with me blowing up balloons – quality time! In the end though everyone had fun, everyone had food and no one got hurt so I’m going to proclaim it a success but definitely cut back on guests next year (or at least throw 2 separate parties)!
Tonight before Keely went to bed I started telling her about seeing her for the first time at the hospital and bringing her home with us. She just curled up in my lap and listened to me and as I held her in my arms I was once again reminded how lucky I am. So much has changed since Keely came into our lives but one thing stays the same – I am forever grateful to be her mom. She’s really is such a sweet, amazing little girl who surprises me everyday – I love her with all my heart and today is truly a day I celebrate!

Happy Birthday Keely! What a fun weekend for us all ha, ha.
It is a miracle!! You updated!!!! Happy Birthday Keely! I wish we could have been there to party with her. When we come to Ann Arbor again, lets go there. Sounds really fun. I was laughing so hard at her "freaking" comment. She is a mini Lisa. Love it! Jackson called himself a dork last week. Too funny.
You always make me cry. I don't know what we would do with out that sweet girl in our lives. And Gavin would be lost with out his best friend. I love the "freaking" comment too. I agree with Jana, she is a mini Lisa. You should be so proud. Happy Birthday Keely!
Happy 4th birthday Keely! Lisa, 35!!!! You are insane, but the numbers don't surprise me knowing your history with Keely's parties. She is your daughter, no doubt about it.
Happy Birthday Keely! You have grown up so fast and are now such a beautiful big girl. Oh, and so smart at that. Anyway, Lisa, I agree with Jana...you finally updated. I almost embarrassed you on my blog for not updating. Anyway, I told Emily you and Jana were going out there.
It is crazy how fast time has gone by. Abby still talks about when Keely got stung by a bee at her 2nd B-day. Although the story gets more elaborate every time!
I still call Abby my baby, although she is always saying,"Uh mom, when am I going to be big like you." I don't know why she is so impatient except that I told her she can't kiss boys until she is big and ready to get married.
Who said Keely is just like her Mom? (Well, except I don't think you have that little mean streak in you that I have noticed occasionally in our little gal) I agree with Em - you are crazy , but man I wish I could go to those wild parties.
